Peacefully with his family at his side at Headwaters Health Care Centre on Saturday, October 24, 2009 in his 87th year. Devoted husband of the late Mina. Dear father of Nancy (Neil) Noble of Shelburne; Beverly Newton of St. Catharines; and Robert (Janice) Newton of Mulmur Township. Devoted Grandpa of Jake, Cole, Julia and Camden. Predeceased by his sister Gladys and her husband Earl Madill. The family will receive friends at the Doney Funeral Home, Shelburne on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday October 28, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Shelburne Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Dufferin County Museum.
