peacefully at Shelburne Residence, Shelburne on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 in his 87th year. Loving husband of the late Lillian. Devoted father of Linda and the late Bruce Sawden, Bruce and his wife Lois, Floyd and his wife Elaine, Colleen and her husband Bob McKee, Brenda and her husband Dale Copeland, Gary and his wife Janet, Brent and his wife Tara. Cherished grandfather of 26 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Norman and sister Leona, sister-in-law Edith (Burton) and brother-in-law Melville (Linda). He is predeceased by his son Paul, brother Oakley and sister Blanche. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family will receive friends at the Doney Funeral Home, Shelburne on Thursday from 4-9 p.m. Funeral service in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment at the Shelburne Cemetery. Donations to the Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville or the Shelburne Residence would be appreciated.
