Passed away peacefully at home on September 5, 2011 surrounded by family at the age of 78. Bill served his country in uniform for 41 years as both a soldier and a police officer. Bill is predeceased by his wife Joanne of 44 years. He is survived by his three daughters Robin, Heather (Chris) and Sandra (Michael) and his Grandchildren Joseph (Christina), Michael, Melissa and Rebecca. There will be a private family interment at the Meadowvale Cemetery. Following this, there will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, September 24th 2011 at 1pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, 203 William St., Shelburne, Ontario in the warrior's hall. All family and friends are asked to join us that day to honour Bill's life in what he wished to be a happy and casual occasion.
