It is with great sadness that we announce that Maureen Baufeldt, beloved wife and mother, respected business owner and cherished friend, passed away at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston on the morning of Monday, June 27th, 2011, after a brief illness. She was 69.
Mrs. Baufeldt is survived by her husband Jim, daughter Heidi Baufeldt (Roman Altmann) as well as daughter Heather (Tom) Sullivan, grandson Michael and sisters Karen and Eleanor.
She will be deeply missed by her dearest customers near and far, her friends in the business community and most profoundly by Jim and Heidi, her daily partners at Mrs. Mitchell's Restaurant and Granny Taught Us How, which they have operated together as a family for over 31 years.
A private celebration of Mrs. Baufeldt's life will be scheduled by the family at a later date.
