(Retired Revenue Canada- Chief Of Special Investigations) of Shelburne, peacefully at Hospice Caledon (Inglewood) on Sunday, September 5, 2010, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Mary for 63 years. Brother of Jack (Alma) of Timmins.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter Anne (Steve), Pickering and sons Bob (Cathy), Beamsville, Craig (June), Dartmouth, N.S. Proud grandfather of eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Susan Zettel, Fergus.
Bob, a former councillor of Melancthon Township, member of Rotary and RCMP member in his early years. He retired in 1974 to return to farm his family homestead in Melancthon.
Special thanks to Ontario March of Dimes staff at McKelvie-Burnside village, nurse Leslie at St. Elizabeth Health Care and staff at Hospice Caledon (Bethell House) who cared for him in his last days. The family will receive friends at the Doney Funeral Home, 318 Main St.,E., Shelburne on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. Cremation at Flesherton Crematorium. Donations to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Ontario March of Dimes or Hospice Caledon (Bethell House) would be appreciated.
