peacefully in the presence of his family at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Shelburne on Friday, December 4, 2009 at the age of 61. Loving husband of Orvillene Patton. Beloved step-father of Scott Patton (Sharon) and Crystal and her husband Josh Plourde. Affectionately known as papa Merv to Matthew and Jessica Plourde. Dear brother of Bob (the late Rose), Lyle (Diane), George (Grace), Alice Hodgkinson, Anne Walko and the late Eleanor Reddick. Brother-in-law of Carl and Pat McGugan. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Doney Funeral Home, Shelburne on Monday from 5-9 p.m. Funeral service in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dundalk. If desired, donations to the Dundalk or Shelburne Library would be appreciated. Special thanks to the wonderful nurses at the Shelburne Hospital for their care and compassion during this sad time.
