peacefully at King Nursing Home, Bolton after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, December 18, 2009 in his 90th year. Loving husband of Marie (nee Fleming). Devoted father of Randy (Marion), Dawn (Clare), Michael (Mary Jane) and Karen (Roger) Greer. Cherished grandfather of 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandsons. He is predeceased by his son Bill (Monty), son-in-law Gilbert, his 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Dear brother-in-law of Anna Martin and Vivian Fleming. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. John was the mailman for 23 years out of Honeywood.The family will receive friends at the Doney Funeral Home, Shelburne on Tuesday from 12-2 p.m. Funeral service in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Spring interment at Hornings Mills Cemetery.
